FAQs
Q - I can’t touch my toes… is yoga for me?
You don’t need to be a pretzel to participate in a class! Beginners yoga classes are the best place to start, and will help you to develop flexibility and gain a familiarity with poses.
Q - Do I need my own yoga mat?
We provide yoga mats at the studio for you to practice on, however you are welcome to bring your own mat along if you prefer. If you are practicing from home via online zoom classes, you will need your own mat.
Q - What level of fitness is required?
It depends which class you are interested in. You only need a basic level of fitness for our Beginners Yoga classes, which will allow you to learn poses & develop strength at your own pace.
Some of our stronger classes such as Creative Flow will require a slightly higher level of fitness. Read our Class Descriptions to learn fitness requirements of each class type.
In yoga, you are strongly encouraged to move with your breath at your own pace in class & to make modifications to ensure poses are appropriate to your body and fitness level.
Q - I have an injury… Can I participate?
If you are concerned, we recommend contacting us before booking your class to discuss the specifics of your injury. One-on-one or small group clinical pilates may be more appropriate to develop strength and condition before joining group classes.
If you understand the limits of your injury well and have been cleared to practice, please just let your teacher know about your injury before the start of class so that we can offer modification options for poses.
Q - Do you have any Pregnancy Yoga or Mums & Bubs classes?
We offer a weekly Parents & Babies Yoga class - think Mums and Bubs Yoga, but dads and other carers are welcome too!
We welcome people to practice during pregnancy, and suggest the beginners classes are a great place to start.
If you are interested in a Pregnancy or Prenatal Yoga class in Bacchus Marsh, please contact us to register your interest so that we can look at adding it to our schedule.
Q - How much are classes?
You can book in for either a casual class, or purchase a package of classes at a discounted rate.
Read our Pricing page for up to date prices & packages.
